First Equity was created from entrepreneurial thinking.  The company was formed in 1986 in anticipation of rule changes at the London Stock Exchange and commenced trading in 1987 as London’s first equity interdealer broker. Following the introduction of the electronic order book (SETS) a decade later in 1998, the company offered its execution skills as an execution-only broker. Advisory and discretionary management services were added allowing the company to offer an extended range of services to both institutional and private clients.

 

Subsequently the corporate broking arm was added to provide corporate finance and advisory services to both public and private companies from early stage to mature entities quoted on recognised stock exchanges.  First Equity is a licensed broking firm regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No. 124394) and a member of the London Stock Exchange and Aquis Stock Exchange.
